Missy Muhelstein

Physical Therapy Assistant

Missy has been in the medical field for over 14 years starting out as a CNA, and then moving into Phlebotomy and finally landing on Physical Therapy! Missy’s original goal was nursing school, but when she was accepted she found it wasn’t her “true” passion and thus roamed the medical field in search of what she truly loved. Missy was introduced into the world of physical therapy when her late husband was battling brain cancer, and the PT’s that overstood his treatment inspired her to become one herself. Before her late husband’s passing, she made a promise to him to go and complete her PTA degree. Missy completed her PTA schooling at Provo College, and recently passed the NPTE to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Her desire to serve and help others is what helped her land the position and feel at home at Foundation Physical Therapy.

Missy is a strong believer in therapeutic exercise in the search of better treatments for patients. As one of the top students in her program, she felt the search for knowledge and patient education was the most important aspect of being a PTA. Her thirst for knowledge always leads her to find stronger solutions to patients’ issues, and her big heart helps lead them to the path of health and wellness.

Missy knows how therapy has helped people, especially when working as a CNA, and even guiding her late husband through it during his treatment. Missy understands how important it is to keep working and pursuing better options for each individual patient. Therapy can and will be the future of medicine, and people like Missy help spearhead it forward.

Missy lives in Orem with her husband Kristian, and her dog Simba. She likes to run (she is currently training for the Ogden half marathon in May), watch her favorite shows, and grew up playing all kinds of sports. Missy truly has a giant heart and loves everyone she works with.
